Tan Mai Group JSC (TMG), formerly known as Vietnam Paper Industry Company (COGIVINA), was established on October 14, 1958 and transformed into a joint stock company in early 2006. TMG currently has been reducing their paper production and shifting towards planting natural forest and production forestry. TMG’s main products now are timber and biomass fuel.
TMG is possessing approximately 30,000 hectares of forest scattered largely in the Central Highlands region of Vietnam, including Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong province, and other regions as Dong Nai province. Acacia and pine trees are the two most common tree varieties. The forest area of TMG is expected to be doubled in 2030.
3. Proposal:
GCG INFRA has already established a firm relationship with Oxi-Zen, a scientific and economic platform that brings together CO2 Emitters and Convertors. GCG INFRA will utilize Oxi-Zen as a blockchain platform for trading carbon credits.
The two abovementioned projects are considered as pilot projects with the purpose of gaining experience for deploying larger projects in the future, including the National Protection Forest of Vietnam. However, due to the unclear legal corridor in Vietnam in terms of calculating, recording and trading carbon credits, we would like to invite Singaporian companies to step in and support us in tokenizing carbon credits.
